How do I create new sites?

Enact will create your own customized account and will provide you with access to this. You will receive an email with your username and password. Here is the link to access this to create new sites and view your fleet.

In order to create new sites, you need to follow the steps based on the specific supported inverter type used. For example, inverters such as Tesla, SMA & Enphase require Authorization from the customer directly via email while others such as SolarEdge & Sol-Ark require an API key. Your Enact CS Manager will assist you with instructions based on the inverter types you use.

Below are the fields needed to create a site in Enact:

Required Optional
System Name Phone Number
System Type (Residential or Commercial) Module Manufacturer, Model, Quantity
Site Address (Street, City, State, Zip Code) Battery Manufacturer, Model, Quantity
Email System Cost
System Size Racking Type
PTO Date
Pre/Post Utility (or can use default)
Pre/Post Utility Rate (or can use default)
System Cost
Inverter/Microinverter Manufacturer, Model, Quantity
AC/DC Coupled
Consumption Meter Installed?
System ID (depending on inverter)

You may be responsible for managing and paying for API data plan, depending on OEM connecter type. Your Enact CS contact will provide more information if applicable.

Once you have all of the information you need, follow the below steps:

  1. Click Create Project (blue button, top-right)
  2. Input and select the customer's address from the dropdown
  3. Enter the Project name and Primary contact name (customer's first and last name)
  4. Select Project Type (Residential or Commercial)
  5. If Commercial, enter the Company Name
  6. Click Create Project (blue button, bottom-right)

  7. If the customer’s pre-solar Utility and Utility Rate are known, enter it here & Save. Otherwise just leave the default in place. (To note, the post-PV rate will be selected in a future step, but the appropriate Utility must be chosen here as the post-PV rate cannot be from a different utility company than the pre-PV rate.)
  8. Click on “Site Siteup” near the top of the page next to “Documents”
  9. Click on “Configure Site”
  10. Enter the gathered information and continue clicking on the blue “Next” button to proceed
  11. Once finished, click on the blue “Save Site” button. You will see a green pop-up confirming that the site configuration is saved.
