Introduction to Stringing and how to Model Stringing on Enact Platform

Enact Solar’s platform now includes Stringing for Inverters, letting designers group solar panels into strings (series or parallel sets) that correctly match an inverter’s voltage & current specs.

This feature helps ensure optimal performance: correct string sizing prevents overvoltage, avoids inverter clipping, and improves yield under varying roof layouts.

Users can now generate stringing configurations within the design tool: after placing panels, the “Inverter” menu lets one generate and adjust stringing schemes.

Currently the this option is available to Residential sites only.

Here is a short video for Introduction to Stringing as a feature:

For Stringing on Enact's Platform, follow these simple steps:
Once the design is complete and modules are added , click Inverter from within the design tool and you will see Inverter and Wiring Group on the right-side menu.

Click Generate Stringing Plan

The Platform will then create a stringing plan and confirm the wired and unwired panels.
User can save and download the data.
Please note : Download is active when no changes are made to the design and when changes are made , the user has to press "SAVE and DOWNLOAD" to save the edits

The Inverter property panels show stringing status

Once the user clicks on Next to go to the Finance Page , the user sees a  warning message for the unwired panels,if any.

Once the user clicks Stay in Design and adds panels to complete the stringing , user gets a message of Run stringing , design has changed.

User again clicks on generate a stringing plan and system then confirms via a green check mark that all panels as wired

User can check Inverter Specifications by clicking on inverter spec.
