Upload custom generation file

Generation data for solar PV (photovoltaic) design refers to detailed information about the amount of electricity generated by a solar power system over a specific period. This data is crucial for evaluating the performance and efficiency of the system. Here are the key components of generation data:

Energy Output:
The total amount of electricity produced by the solar panels, usually measured in kilowatt-hours (kWh).
Time Intervals:
Data recorded at specific intervals (e.g., hourly, daily, monthly) to show how energy production varies over time.
Peak Power:
The maximum power output achieved by the system, typically measured in kilowatts (kW).

Enact Platform allows users to upload hourly generation data in CSV format, known as the Enact template. Additionally, users can upload data in the Helioscope format.

Steps to Upload a Generation File

  1. Navigate to the Design Page:

    • On the Enact Platform, go to the design page.

  2. Access Additional Tools:

    • Click on the 'Additional Tools' option.

  3. Go to Energy:

    • Select the 'Energy' section within the additional tools.

  4. Enable Use Custom Generation:

    • Toggle the button to 'On' for uploading custom generation data.

  5. Download CSV Template:

    • A CSV template is available here. Download it to your device.

  6. Update the Template:

    • Fill in the template with your hourly generation data.

  7. Upload the Template:

    • Once updated, upload the CSV template back to the platform.
